Above ground – Springfree Trampolines can sit quite happily (and safely) on any type of flooring: earth/soil, artificial grass or turf, concrete, wood chippings, rubber shred or mats etc.

For first time assembly, we recommend allowing 2 people about 2-3 hours to install a Springfree Trampoline. Our installation videos should give you an idea of what is involved in the installation.

As the weight of Springfree Trampolines ranges from 100-150kg – moving them single-handedly is not a job for the faint-hearted (or something that we would recommend)… unless you are equipped with a pair (or 2) of our Shifting wheels.

The Springfree Trampoline Ground Anchor kit helps to safely secure your trampoline to the ground. Each Ground Anchor kit contains 4 anchors which work for all models. Jumbo models may require two sets of anchors (ie. you will purchase two sets) depending on weather conditions in your area.

Concrete may seem like the ideal surface on which to put your trampoline, but the force of bouncing into the hard ground can be damaging to your trampoline`s frame and legs. Concrete also prevents you from securing your trampoline to the ground using an Anchor Kit, ensuring that it doesn`t move in inclement weather.

When sinking a Springfree trampoline, you can only put it in to the group up to the top of the legs. This is because the net rods need to be able to flex and move with freely without coming in contact with any solid surfaces. trampoline. How much space do I need around a Springfree Trampoline? The required garden space is important for safety. We recommend a minimum of 3ft clearance around the perimeter of the trampoline, away from walls, structures, fences and other play areas.

The simple answer is safety! Wearing shoes on a trampoline can be dangerous and can lead to serious injury and with Springfree always having safety in mind shoes on the Trampolines are a definite no go.

Above ground trampolines are designed to be exposed to air and sunlight. When you put one under ground, it will be in constant contact with damp soil and air. Eventually the trampoline`s frame will rust and the springs will need to be checked and replaced regularly to maintain safety and efficacy.

If you`re still wondering if you can sink a regular trampoline underground, the answer is a resounding NO–it`s incredibly dangerous and much too expensive. Technically, you could put a regular poly bed trampoline in, but it`s extremely unsafe and would ultimately cost a lot of money for very little satisfaction.

A Trampoline Tie-Down Kit is used to help prevent your trampoline from blowing over in high winds. it basically `straps` your trampoline to the ground using straps and large metal `corkscrew` stakes. You don`t need to keep it there all the time, but we strongly recommend using one when the winds pick up.

Depending on the size and weight of the trampoline, you may be able to move it manually on your own. Try going underneath the trampoline, placing yourself in the middle, and arching your back against the netting. Slowly and gently lift, using an abundance of caution to make sure that you don`t become injured.

It`s not essential to have your trampoline absolutely level – a 1 or 2 degree slope is fine. You can always build up the soil and turf on the lower side so the frame does not protrude from the ground. You`ll have plenty of spare soil to do this!

You can use crushed rock under a trampoline too, but it`s better to use pea gravel because it won`t cut the weed matting. If your trampoline has legs, the legs will sit on the weed matting and pea gravel at the same time.

The Risk of Injury or Damage

For a large, outdoor trampoline, the general average lifespan is generally between 3 – 8 years. Depending on the manufacturer, the average lifespan for the mat is 1-5 years, for frame 3-8 years and for springs 3-4 years. In comparison, Acon`s trampolines are built to last a lifetime.

The weight of snow can ruin a trampoline, and high winds can blow it around your yard. If you live in an area prone to nasty weather, disassembling your trampoline and storing it indoors during the winter is probably a good idea.

Verdict: Jumpflex is a solid, mid-budget, choice for a trampoline brand. Their trampolines come with some impressive durability features and are built with good-quality materials. They do not have a large variety to choose from, though, and there are safer trampolines that can hold more weight out there.
