The magazine supplied with the PT-85 is the well-proven double-ended one that has an 8-shot revolving chamber at each end, for 16 shots in total.
The PT-85 Blowback CO2 powered air pistol features a rifled steel barrel and textured grip, and produces 450 feet per second velocities with PBA Platinum Pellets.
The pistol is capable of shooting at velocities of up to 450 feet per second with Gamo PBA platinum pellets. Only standard-skirt pellets should be used with PT-85 Blowback pistols. To avoid damaging the magazine, never use long-skirt pellets, such as Red Fire, Blue Flame, Glow Fire, PBA Bullet, or TS-10.
Description. Gamo Pt-85 Air Pistol (Pellet) 4.5mm The PT-85 Blowback CO2 powered air pistol is featuring the innovative blowback technology.
What we have always recommended for new spring or gas piston air rifles is a break-in period of at least 150 shots. Some rifles will be good to go with 100 shots and still some might require 200 shots to get settled in.
Consistency is key when it comes to airguns and how you hold and shoot them. Most shooters find a limit of around 20-30 yards for hunting consistently, however, some accurately hunt beyond 50 yards with “springers”.
Considering the gun`s physical dimensions, I think the accuracy and power it produces—and the ability to shoot 10 times without a reload—makes the Gamo Swarm Magnum an excellent choice for a small game hunting rifle.
The Gamo Swarm Magnum . 177 is a beast of an airgun. We`ve personally witnessed 1600+ FPS using the Gamo PBA pellets, which are not the lightest pellets available for testing. Had we had some of the PBA platinum pellets available, we`re pretty sure we may have seen 1650 FPS.
Pellet guns come in both rifle and pistol varieties — with rifles typically providing the most accuracy and power. Additionally, pellet guns are generally considered to be more accurate in a pellet gun vs BB gun scenario due to their rifled barrels and aerodynamic pellet shapes.
Realism: The Gamo PT-85 look like guns and function like guns but are not replicas of any one particular licensed gun.
A powerful . 22 caliber air rifle such as a Benjamin Discovery or Marauder fires a 14.3 grain pellet with a muzzle velocity of approximately 900 ft/sec. The firearm generates a muzzle energy of approximately 130 ft lbs of energy at the muzzle whereas that of the air rifle is only about 26 ft lbs.
For overall versatility, the Whisper Fusion Mach 1 comes out as the clear winner on this list. The Gamo Whisper Fusion Mach 1 has high velocity in both caliber options allowing you a greater diversity in its usage in both target shooting and small game hunting.
The barrel-breaking gun can reach a power of up to 8/10 joules, while the CO2-powered gun can only release a power of up to 4 joules.
Dry firing PCP or CO2 air rifles will usually be completely safe, as there isn`t a piston to worry about. You`re simply releasing a short spurt of air/CO2 to force the pellet up the barrel.
An anti-aircraft gun can take maximum of four shots at an enemy plane moving away from it. The probabilities of hitting the plane at the first, second , third and fourth shot are 0.4,0.3,0.2 and 0.1 respectively.
As mentioned before, an airsoft replica is probably around 90-100 dB when fired. To put this into perspective, your ears would experience pain at around 125 dB, while at noise above 180 dB your hearing tissue begins to die. A regular firearm emits something like 140 dB.
If you`re carrying an air gun in public, you must have a legitimate reason for doing so. And this does not include trying to look like your favourite action hero. Genuine reasons for carrying an air gun in public include travelling to or from a gun club, shooting competition or air gun shop.
The company was founded in 1959, as El Gamo, and airgun production first started in 1961. Today Gamo products include air rifles, air pistols, ammunition and optics. They produce primarily airguns intended for mass market.
The GAMO Varmint Air Rifle shoots a . 177 PBA Platinum alloy pellet at 1250 fps, making it an ideal pellet gun for hunting small game, pest control and target practice.
Our Gamo air rifle or air pistol will deliver its maximum shooting potential and remain trouble-free for an unusually long period of time if properly lubricated and cleaned. Always make sure your airgun is unloaded before cleaning or oiling. Never use oil for the inside of the barrel.
The GAMO Swarm Magnum does not use CO2, it has the IGT Mach 1 gas piston.
A Standard Velocity . 22 LR round fired out of a rifle attains a muzzle velocity (speed of the bullet when it leaves the gun) of approximately 1,125 fps (feet per second).
BB guns can shoot faster than 60 m/s (200 ft/s), but are often less powerful than a conventional pellet airgun. Pellet airguns have the ability to fire considerably faster, even beyond 170 m/s (560 ft/s).
Shooting a . 177 PBA Platinum alloy pellet at 1350 fps makes this an ideal pellet gun for hunting small game and pest control.

I have a Daiwa 160X reel and I was taking it apart to clean it for the first time since I bought it at garage sale a couple years back and haven’t cleaned it before. Upon taking off the “flippy part” a spring came out. I can’t figure how to get it back together. Do you know anything?
ANSWER : Hello Mike. I suspect that the spring that flew out is the bail kick lever spring, part 14 on this schematic. Just click on this link http://www.mikesreelrepair.com/schematics/albums/daiwa/Daiwa_A-160X.pdf

I receive a ‘write error’ message after I take a photo
ANSWER : There should be a little switch on your memory card when you pull it out. Slide the switch the opposite direction. The switch is very small and usually on one of the edges/sides. This is similar to how floppy disks had a write protection on them.
