How to Identify and Resolve Common Issues ?

Putting the sensor on the front wheel is good for keeping things simple. It is much easier to route a wire to the front fork than it is to route it to the rear fork. The only problem is that a kit will give you enough wire to go all the way to the rear fork.

You can fit some bike computers or bike Bluetooth sensors to an indoor cycle and use with Apps to get the data needed to help with the workout feedback and motivation. (Or you can fit other model spin bike consoles to your bike but this may give more skewed results as some are designed with a specific gear ratio.)
Make sure the computer is properly locked into the handlebar mount. If you are still not getting a reading, pass a large fridge magnet back and forth by the sensor and see if you get reading. If you do get a reading then the wheel magnet and transmitter are likely misaligned.
The way a cycle computer works is simple. Each time a magnet on the wheel passes a sensor on the fork a signal is generated. The bike computer measures the time between those signals and works out how fast you`re going, based on the wheel dimension you gave it on initial set up.
If you`re still unsure, no need to worry. There are some great bike tracking apps available for both iOS and Android phones that have all of the features of a dedicated device. The Cadence app has a clear, easy-to-read interface that packs in a lot of functionality without feeling cluttered or overwhelming.
Most cycling computer batteries last approximately 10-20 hours even with satellite navigation and ANT+ connections running. The type of riding you do will determine how much battery life you`ll need.
Computers – particularly with GPS built in – are now very popular, with most cyclists owning a bike computer from the likes of Garmin or Wahoo. You`re probably more likely to notice a bike without a bike computer on rather than a bike with one.
Much like the dashboard display in a car, a handlebar-mounted bike computer can tell you all sorts of things about your ride, even performance data like cadence and power. Many also offer navigational capability like turn-by-turn directions for your route.

Hi, I just bought a used Schwinn 418 elliptical, suposedly the computer needs replaced. When I plug the adapter I imidiatly get a display of “Error 1”. The machine seams to function very smoothly at a moderate tension. I have looked at previous reponses on this site to this and found two contraticting answers, one suggests a cabeling/electrical or computer problem, the other a step by step on how to “unstick” the servo. Before I start taking things appart or just ordering a new computer, any advise how to narrow down the possiblities?

ANSWER : This is definitely the problem with cabling structure… becase the computer detects there  is an error1… it clearly says that the computer is working fine only thing is it is not able  to detect the device connecte to it… so check with the cabling structure before buying a new one…

Bell f20 computer – no code for 25” wheels?
ANSWER : When i first got mine it prompted me to enter the circumference of my tire in millimeters (mine was 2074mm). you can get back to this by holding the bottom button in the center (this button is really two buttons one on the left side the other on the right side; holding the center pushes both these buttons). when it rests you’ll see the 4 digit numbers. i think u use the right button to change the number and the left to move to the next. remember the number represents your tires circumference in millimeters. for a quick approx use this calculation (Tire Diameter)X(3.14)X(25.4). So for me it was (26in)X(3.14)X(25.4) = 2074mm

I have a new York 4 ton 15SEER YHJF48 with X13 motor air handler heat pump. It has a digital thermostat, touch screen, programmable, with many numbers on it. Not sure which to include here, but will try pat.# 6595430D509151 and TH 8321u1055. I do not have an instruction manual and cannot seem to reach the installer. I’ve been trying all summer and fall, and as cold weather approaches would certainly like to be able to program it to warm up before anyone in the household has to get up in the cold! Can you help?

The t-stat you have is a Honeywell TH8321U1055 That probably is an OEM number but will program the same as any TH8321U t-stat….
