Hi Mr BudmanAssuming the battery is a new one that you have replaced it with, please check the following:If the ignition light doesn’t come on when you turn the key then check the earth strap from the starter motor, this is connected to the negative battery lead. Make sure the battery leads are fitted securely, as well as clean. Remove each one and clean up the terminals with a wire brush, put vaseline on afterwards, this will stop them rusting out. Make sure the safety switch is turned off. If the above are both OK. Check that fuel is getting through. Twist the throttle with the side plastics off. Look to see if it moves the throttle cable. These get stretched, frayed or snap, especially with under-use. Replace with a new one. Once you are getting a spark, make sure you have new fuel in there, as old fuel is bad. Change the oil too.
