There may be a number of reasons why your airsoft gun won`t shoot. This can range from simple wiring issues to more complicated ones like broken teeth gears. While some of these can be fixed, some might require changing parts and a visit with a local airsoft technician.
Electrically powered airsoft guns use a spring-loaded piston pump just like spring guns, but instead of manual operation they typically use portable rechargeable battery packs to power an internal electric motor, which transmit through a gearbox to compress the pump spring and propel the pellets via the compression of …
What is an Airsoft gun and what does it shoot? Airsoft guns are replica guns that shoot spherical plastic projectile balls instead of bullets. These pellets are typically 6mm BBs. However, although they use BB ammunition, Airsoft guns differ from BB guns, and you can learn more about this with our guide on BB Guns.
One indication that your CO2 Valve might be the culprit is the total loss of all your CO2 when you try to insert and tighten a new CO2 Cartridge. Usually all the CO2 will exit the barrel, not the handle or valve area. What may be happening is the valve is stuck open or the internal seal is broken or deformed.
On AEG airsoft guns the first thing to check if not working is the fuse. Most AEGs use an inline glass fuse so you can see the fuse wire inside and it should be a case of simply opening the fuse holder and looking at the fuse wire to see if it has indeed burnt out.
Each gas air gun is powered by expanding gases.

Part of those gases is used by the Blow Back system, which causes the bolt to recoil by means of the bolt`s valves. With each shot, the gas is expelled from the container to the barrel, and then to the piston in the airsoft gun slide, causing recoil.

The most common gas used for airsoft guns is propane or โ€œgreen gas.โ€ Another type of gas used is CO2, which can be used for both rifles and pistols. On a side note, CO2 guns tend to shoot at a higher FPS than green gas guns. Other less commonly used gas types are HFC134a refrigerant and nitrogen.
Electric Airsoft Guns. Electric airsoft guns work on batteries, motors and gears and so it`s important to ensure that the internals are well lubricated. If you don`t, parts can easily get worn out and break.
The term “BB gun” is frequently used incorrectly to describe airsoft guns, which shoot plastic pellets (also often referred to as “BBs”) that are larger (usually 6 mm or 0.24 in in diameter) but much less dense than metal BBs, and have significantly lower ballistic performance.
The barrel-breaking gun can reach a power of up to 8/10 joules, while the CO2-powered gun can only release a power of up to 4 joules.
Dry Firing PCP and CO2 Air Rifles

Dry firing PCP or CO2 air rifles will usually be completely safe, as there isn`t a piston to worry about. You`re simply releasing a short spurt of air/CO2 to force the pellet up the barrel.

Benefits of CO2 โ€“ Harder Kick, Faster FPS

CO2 is going to kick harder, shoot faster, and work better in colder temperatures. Due to it`s higher pressure, a CO2 powered pistol will kick much harder than a green gas weapon.

An airsoft fuse is the first, and probably most effective, piece of protection standing between your AEG and electrical damage. The fuse is part of your gearbox`s overall circuit. An AEG fuse stops too much current flowing around your circuitry should a power surge occur by `breaking`, or halting.
Failure to feed is common when the shooter does not hold the firearm firmly (known as limp wristing), when the slide is not fully cycled by the preceding round, or due to problems with the magazine. It can also be caused by worn recoil springs, buffer springs, or simply a dirty feed ramp.
Full auto permitted /a>not exceeding 300fps, or 1 joule max, with a 20` minimum engagement distance. LMG`s/SSW (Squad Support Weapon)(M249, RPK, M60): Full auto permitted not exceeding 400fps, or 1.5 joules max, with a 50` minimum engagement distance.
Normal airsoft FPS has a massive range: it is normal for weapons to be 150 FPS and it is common for weapons to be 350 FPS. It all depends on the type of weapon you choose. For pistols, it is much more normal to see the 150 to 200 FPS range. While for assault rifles, ones below an FPS of 250 are generally not effective.
So is an Airsoft replica safe for your 13 year old? Yes, an Airsoft replica is safe and is not a BB gun. Airsoft is safe for teenagers as long as they`ve been taught about handling and safety. As a parent you need to judge your kid`s responsibility level as well as their ability to follow rules and instructions.
Airsoft is very safe for kids as long as they are well educated about weapon use and its dangers. An Airsoft event is one of the safest, controlled environments available for both kids and adults to shoot each other. Kids can learn much more than just shooting guns by playing Airsoft.
Again, there are a lot of variables to consider that can affect price, but generally speaking green gas tends to be a little cheaper per shot than CO2.
No Holding or Grappling!

Physical contact between players is not permitted. This is to include excessive shooting of a player and or a game Referee. If a player is caught shooting a referee on purpose or supposed accident, the offending player will be removed from game play.

Dryfiring an airsoft weapon will cause damage and wear to its internal components, and it`s not recommended to do it to an excess.
Times When It`s Better To Use An Electric Airsoft Gun

They are also more compact and maneuverable, which makes them ideal for close-quarters combat. Beginner Players: Electric airsoft guns are a great choice for beginner players who are just starting out in the sport.

ANSWER : Personally, with that many problems, I’d call Mossberg and get a return authorization. None of these things should be happening, especially with a new gun.

Paintballs will fall out of the barrel of my tippmann 98 custom, randomly when the gun is not being fired. I am not sure how to fix this, or if it can be fixed. Mechanically the gun fires and aims great. This is the only problem i have encountered. Pleast help.
ANSWER : Get another ball detente from ebay, this one is the cheapest one I could find.http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-TIPPMANN-C-98-BALL-DETENT-A5-BALL-DETENT-/370469346400?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5641b19c60

My gun just beeps when i pull the trigger even when hooked up to hpa.battery is new.last time i used the gun just before it messed up i had it hooked to o2 and it would fire then beep ,i have a anti syphon tube installed to. the air shot out the asa instead of the reg when i took off the tank.usually gun holds air with tank off then you shoot it to get rid of stored air, this time it shot out the asa????
ANSWER : You have probably messed up your solenoid, did you fire the marker straight up with the o2? I would make sure that all of the board settings are back to factory default especially the dwell and reattempt with compressed air. If the marker is still not firing get your hands on a new solenoid for it.

Stopped firing. Battery and fuse are fine.
ANSWER : The part that feed the bbs most be broken. or your mag is broken. dose its work in other modes?

I have a tippmann custom pro with a cyclone feeder. I recently got the SAW stock to put on it and encountered some problems many times after I reassembled the gun. I took it apart at least 5 times before I thought it was fixed but now ive encountered another problem. I believe it has to do with the cyclone feeder not responding or something is out of line in the gun. When I picked up the gun to shoot, no paint came out so I took off the CO2 and the barrel and saw that the paintball was 1/3 inside the gun. I also have a problem when im shooting it sometimes does really fast burst. Thank you
ANSWER : Hi there. Tippmann markers are super tough to make sure that they are put back together properly. The stupid clamshell design plus all the little, under engineered parts make it difficult to get it back together properly, especially after installing a stock. I was in the paintball industry for 10 years but have been out of it for a little bit, but i was one of the founding members of Uprising Nation and was a gunsmith/ salesman for PaintballOnline.com / Xtremes. Now with that said…I even had trouble with the tippmann 98’s…and I can rebuild an autococker with my eyes closed but can sometimes be stumped by the tippy’s bad design. It is really tough to diagnose an issue on these guns without looking at it. You may have the ball detent backwards,l missing a pin, sometimes the after market stocks on those are a little too large on the outside diameter preventing the internals from properly seating. The cycloce system may be off due to the valves not meing properly aligned or the connecting rod not being in all the way. Many times though it is incorrect installation of the detent or the deternt gets damages. That little orange peice of **** flap is a mance. I would start there.

It may seem like i am bashing your gun. Im not… Once they are put together properly they work great. Just DONT TAKE THEM APART. lol. If you buy the parts at a local gun shop they will install them for free.

lol I have 6 guns for sale ๐Ÿ™‚

Have a good day
