Six-Person Tent

Two adults and two kids plus gear have more than enough room. It`s also spacious for four adults and their gear, but anything beyond that would be a tight fit.

Even though dome tents look difficult to set up alone, they are actually one of the easiest tents to assemble by yourself! If you have a newer dome tent, it is simpler than ever to put one together. However, a lost instruction manual can mean the difference between an easy task and a much more difficult one.
Keep away from setting up where there is washout (leaves and the dirt pattern is a good solid indicator). The tent should be placed in a position that allows water to drain away from the tent, so that you don`t have a river running through it. Set up your tent away from where you are going to be eating.
6-person tent measures 10 ft. x 10 ft. with a 6 ft. center height.
Frame tents are clear span structures that have metal frames to support the roof with an open space beneath the canopy. They are self-supporting and can be weighted down if the ground does not allow for staking.
As a general rule, a family of 4 will need at least a 6 person tent. A family of 5 will likely need an 8P tent and a 6-person family will need a 10P tent. However, these guidelines aren`t always accurate. Some very large tents will actually only sleep four people comfortably, especially if you are using air mattresses.
Berth – This shows the number of people that the tent can sleep within the inner tents of a model of tent, in line with the industry standard. Normal procedure is to look for a slightly larger tent, for example, a family of four usually purchase a five or six berth tent, to give added room and comfort.
1. Tie one end of your rope around the tree, far enough out so that when hanging loose it hits the center of the spot you have in mind for your tent. If the tree is too tall to reach or shimmy up and tie one end, throw the rope over the tree and work with the double length instead!
Our answer is always yes. There are 3 main reasons why we suggest that you always take footprint groundsheet when using your family tent. MARKS OUT THE PITCH OF YOUR TENT – Footprint groundsheets are shaped to fit your tent so you when you lay it down it marks out the space for your tent to go on.
A tent is a shelter consisting of sheets of fabric or other material draped over, attached to a frame of poles or a supporting rope. While smaller tents may be free-standing or attached to the ground, large tents are usually anchored using guy ropes tied to stakes or tent pegs.
Ventilation must ensure a steady supply of fresh air/oxygen (for reasons of both safety and sleep), as well as control condensation out of the tent. The ventilation system must be able to do this in two ways: through ventilation and ventilation.
Ease of Setup

Some companies recommend three to four people as ideal for setting their tents up, which may be more than you have available.

Do You Need to Waterproof a New Tent? If your tent seams are not sealed or the tent fabric has no coating or treatment, you`ll need to waterproof your tent right away. This is most common with cheap tents. However, most tents sold today are at least water-resistant.
After your tent seams are completely secure and waterproof, they`ll remain that way for years. Usually, sealing your tent seams is a one-time, permanent fix. Unless you`re backpacking in harsh conditions for months on end, you`ll only have to reseal the seams once every 8-10 years.
Tents are usually a few parts joined together by seams and these seams are what make tents susceptible to leakages. As such, manufacturers tend to seal up the seams with different methods.
If a tent is packed away wet, then mould will develop on the taped seams, and fabric. This degrades the fabric to the point it is no longer repairable. The tent will begin to smell very strongly, and we pitch them indoors, making it quite difficult to pitch.
Most tent sealing products need 24 hours to dry completely, so make sure you have a designated space free from debris where the tent can be spread out for a day to dry.
When pitching a tent in a steady rain, if possible, assemble it under a thick canopy of tree branches, which often provides some shelter from the rain. Once it`s set up, you can move it to your preferred tentsite and stake it out.
Pop up tents have spring loaded tent poles which come pre-attached to the body of the tent. The tent bag keeps these springs compressed and the tent folded, but when you take it out of the bag the springs force the tent poles to extend.
Aim to place the tent in the middle of the backpack. Placing it in the middle puts the least strain on your back since your tent is one of your heavier items. Ideally, your sleeping bag should be at the very bottom of the pack, and your tent should be just above it.
There is a standard rule that Art Gallery`s use with regards to hanging a frame, which is that it should be 60 inches or 1520mm from the floor to the centre of the picture. This allows the picture to be positioned at the average person`s eye level so that the focal point of the picture is right in eye line.
However, almost all tents can be grouped into 1 of 4 categories based on their shape. Here are the 4 different types of tents: A-Frame tents, Pyramid tents, Hoop tents, and Dome tents.
Placing a tarp under your tent extends the lifetime of your tent by protecting it from wear and tear caused by rugged terrain. Sharp rocks, sticks, or tree roots can tear or puncture the bottom of your tent. A tarp also insulates your tent, minimizes moisture, and makes it easier to clean your tent.
Generally, a 6-Person tent can sleep four adults plus a generous amount of camping gear. Of course, you may be able to sleep more than four people in your tent if you have small children who will share sleeping pads and/or sleeping bags.

The instructions I got are not exactly for the tent in the bag, so I need to find out the specific instructions for my tent rther than the generic instructions it came with.
ANSWER : Search on the internet for the manufacturer’s name, and the tent model. Most have instruction sheets downloadable from their websites. If that doesn’t work, and they can’t help you by email, then try to find a scout troop or outdoors club in your area, who may be able to help you find instructions or even someone with a similar tent.

If you go to image 2 it shows it with out the fly. now if you got 2 sets of 4 poles, 2 long and 2 short, and one set is all aluminum, then I would go with the aluminum set.
