How to Identify and Resolve Common Issues ?

We offer a diverse range of insights on identifying and resolving common problems in sports. Our sources encompass academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays shared by seasoned athletes. :

The benefit of a spare ball

Bowlers don`t just carry around an extra ball for the exercise. The majority of serious bowlers will roll their first shot with some spin. The spare ball, then, is used for a more precise second throw that does not hook away from any pins that are still left in the alley.

A “spare” is awarded when no pins are left standing after the second ball of a frame; i.e., a player uses both balls of a frame to clear all ten pins. A player achieving a spare is awarded ten points, plus a bonus of whatever is scored with the next ball (only the first ball is counted).
When you encounter very dry lane conditions, for example, it becomes clear why you need a bowling ball for spares. Simply stated, you need to maintain a controlled ball motion when rolling for the tricky spares so you don`t waste scoring opportunities.
This system was developed many years ago, and it involves moving your feet right either three, six, or nine boards from the spot you stood to shoot your strike depending upon the front pin in the row you`re trying to convert. By moving your feet that way, you can easily convert most of the spares.
If a bowler doesn`t use their thumb during a delivery, they can either have a thumb hole or a balance hole but not both. If the ball has a thumb hole but the bowler doesn`t use it, then as long as it meets static balance requirements, the ball is allowed.
No, you need twelve strikes. Reason is that a strike counts 10 for itself plus the value of the next two balls. You are counting ten frames, each consisting of the one strike that was bowled in that frame plus the next two balls.
Your request is pretty simple, you want a weaker ball than the Code Red with similar ball motion for higher friction conditions. Also, they should be able to be that second set of eyes. Good proshop operators want to see you become a better bowler and should be more than willing to help.
Knocking down just a few pins requires good aim, which most just don`t have. Whether you think it`s easier or harder to get a spare, the fact remains that strikes are worth more points. So, if you`re trying to improve your bowling game, focus on getting more strikes.
BAGGER (SUCH AS FIVE BAGGER)

A string of strikes; i.e., five bagger is five in a row.

The Limitations of the House Ball

A big part of this is certainly technique and skill, but another key reason is that most house balls are very low performance compared to the balls that are used by more serious bowlers.

Spare: A “spare” is awarded when no pins are left standing after the second ball of a frame; i.e., a player uses both balls of a frame to clear all ten pins. A player achieving a spare is awarded ten points, plus a bonus of whatever is scored with the next ball (only the first ball is counted).
A spare works in much the same way as a strike, but only adds the value of your first roll in the subsequent frame to your score of 10. For example, if you bowl a spare and in your next frame roll a 4 and a 3 in your two throws, you`d add 4 onto your 10 to score 14 for the spare.
A bowler who doesn`t use the thumb during a delivery cannot have a thumb hole, as it is considered a balance hole. If the ball does, it is illegal and games are subject to forfeiture. All holes drilled must be used for gripping purposes on every delivery.
Most bowlers, including Jason Belmonte, use two hands in gaming. With time, you will learn more bowling styles; one of them being two-finger bowling.
If you`re asking yourself, “How long can I drive on a spare tire,” or “How fast can I go on a spare tire”, consider the following: Space-saver spares cannot be driven over 50 mph. Space-saver spare tires shouldn`t be driven for more than 70 miles. You`ll have less traction than with a full-size spare.
You should not drive over 50 mph and no more than 50 miles with a donut-type spare tire. Driving for long distances on a spare tire can potentially cause damage to other car parts, including the transmission.
In ten-pin bowling, a Dutch 200 is a game in which the bowler records a score of 200 by getting strikes and spares in alternation throughout the game.
Seven strikes, then, is sometimes called a Ham-Turkey Dinner for a string of four strikes (Hambone) plus a string of three (Turkey).
In bowling games that use 10 pins, such as ten-pin bowling, candlepin bowling, and duckpin bowling, the highest possible score is 300, achieved by bowling 12 strikes in a row in a traditional single game: one strike in each of the first nine frames, and three more in the tenth frame.
The number of holes is not to exceed 5 for gripping purposes. One hole for balance purposes, not to exceed 1-1/4 inch in diameter. One vent hole to each finger and/or thumb hole, not to exceed 1/4 inch in diameter. One mill hole for inspection purposes, not to exceed 5/8 inch in diameter and 1/8 inch in depth.
Follow the 10% rule.

A bowling ball should weigh 10 percent of your body weight (up to 16 pounds), which means you really shouldn`t be grabbing, say, an 8-pound ball if you weigh 150 pounds. You want some weight to the ball, but it shouldn`t be so heavy that it`s uncomfortable.

But not all strikes are successful, with many resulting in a crackdown on union activity and no concessions for workers. Often, the outcome has depended on the strength of the government at the time and public support behind the movement.
Modern bowlers of any skill level have a reasonable shot of scoring a turkey—three strikes in a row—in a game.
A “four-badger” is four strikes in a row, a “five-badger” is five in a row, etc. Perfect Game – 12 strikes in a row is a perfect game and totals 300 points.

Need the wire diagram to rewire my Ariens lawnmover to bypass the safety switch. It is Ariens GT-19 model # 931026 Serial # 001463.
Can you help? It is an old Ariens mower but still runs good but now I need to bypass the safety switch in order to run it any longer. The local Ariens dealer said I need to go through the internet and get the wire diagram as they cannot give it to me directly. They told me I needed the wire diagram and the part involved in bypassing the safety switch. Hope this is all the information you need to help me.

Thank you. Roger Fielitz

ANSWER : Here is owner manual:http://apache.ariens.com/manuals/030305C.pdfusually the switch is behind the ignition, sometimes at the N position of gearshift, just look for a switch with one wire coming in & one going out (usually the same color); disconnect the two wires & jumper them together to bypass the switch.
