As i was finishing my driveway today the wheels on my craftsman snow blower just stopped. I tried all the gears none worked I put it in reverse and it movedfor two seconds and stopped. what could this be?
Experienced athletes share their insights in answering this question:
If it is a 5.5 HP dual stage, like mine, it could be that the belt has popped off the friction pulley. If you drain the gas, tip the unit on its “face” and remove the large shield on the bottom you will see a 3″ pulley attached to the drive shaft. There will also be what looks like a fan belt floating around in there. That fan belt nees to go on the pullet, as it serves as the friction disk tio drive the wheels. Good luck. this happens to mine ALL the time. very frustrating. 🙁

How to Identify and Resolve Common Issues ?

We offer a diverse range of insights on identifying and resolving common problems in sports. Our sources encompass academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays shared by seasoned athletes. :

If the cogged belt is worn out, improperly adjusted, or broken, the snowblower wheels won`t turn. Inspect the cogged belt to determine if it is broken or worn out, and ensure that the belt is properly adjusted. If the belt is broken or worn out, replace it.
If the friction wheel is aligned closer to the center of the drive disk, the snowblower`s wheels will turn more slowly; the speed will increase as the friction wheel is moved further to the outside edge of the drive disk.
It could be because the auger drive idler isn`t applying enough tension to the auger drive belt (inside the machine) for the belt to grip the auger pulley and make the pulley turn fast enough. The other reason could be that the auger drive belt is worn, which can lead to the same result.
It is the friction between the wheels and the brake pads that causes the wheels to slow down. Obviously, friction is a very important force when you are riding in a car! Imagine that there was a lot less friction between roads and tires.
The farther the friction wheel is moved from the center of the drive plate, the faster the snowblower moves. Moving the friction wheel across to the opposite side of the drive plate causes the snowblower to move backways.
If it is a front wheel, it is possible that the wheel bearing could be seized up preventing it from rolling. It is also possible that a wheel bearing could cause this on the rear. This vehicle is rear wheel drive so it is also possible that the wheel may not be spinning due to an issue with the rear axle.
If the V-belt is worn out, misadjusted, or broken, the snowblower wheels won`t turn. Inspect the belt to determine if it is broken or worn out, and make sure that the belt is properly adjusted. If the V-belt is broken or worn out, replace it.
The traction control cable might be broken or misadjusted. Check the traction control cable to determine if it moves freely. If the control cable does not move freely, try squirting a small amount of oil into the end of the cable to lubricate it. If lubricating the traction control cable is not effective, replace it.
This is because wet, heavy snow, especially snow that`s been treated with de-icing material, is particularly sticky. When snow is partially melted, or “wet,” it packs together more readily and is likely to stick and freeze to other surfaces. When this starts to happen in your discharge chute; it gets clogged up.

I have a Troy bilt Storm 9528 snow blower (about 3 years old). This year I am having trouble with the snow discharging.
It doesn’t seem to take much snow jam it up. At times the auger barely turns when I engage the handle. After I get it going by either cleaning it out or shaking the unit some, I see the auger spinning faster but it will bog down again as soon as it hits any significant amount of snow.

ANSWER : Adjust the auger cable so its tight, it most likely got loose. The adjustment is on the back of the machine theres 2 screws just make the auger cable tighter. this should solve your problem

Bell f20 computer – no code for 25” wheels?
ANSWER : When i first got mine it prompted me to enter the circumference of my tire in millimeters (mine was 2074mm). you can get back to this by holding the bottom button in the center (this button is really two buttons one on the left side the other on the right side; holding the center pushes both these buttons). when it rests you’ll see the 4 digit numbers. i think u use the right button to change the number and the left to move to the next. remember the number represents your tires circumference in millimeters. for a quick approx use this calculation (Tire Diameter)X(3.14)X(25.4). So for me it was (26in)X(3.14)X(25.4) = 2074mm
