Coleman® stoves, lanterns, lamps and irons use the same basic principles of operation, and have since the early 1900s. Pressure devices place and maintain their fuel under pressure, convert that fuel to a gas vapor and then control the manner and rate at which it burns.
A propane Coleman stove should not be used indoors. Coleman released this statement about using their products indoors: Your Coleman® stove and lantern using liquid fuel or propane are designed for outdoor use only.

Need to fix regulator for coleman stove 5410708
ANSWER : Just where the regulator attaches to the burner there is a small nut that may be loose. If you look closely at this and turn the regulator (stove off and hose detached!) you may see the nut hat turns easily. Tighten it and make sure the regulator does not rotate too freely, but still turns to adjust when attached to the hose or the smaller gas cartridge, if using that. Test carefully after this.

Hi I have 2 burner Coleman LPG stove about 12 yrs old and the flame on both burners is slowly getting lower and lower when knobs on full. The gas bottle is full. Why is this? Can I clean it/jets somehow? Thanks Garry

I have lost all pressure in my coleman 502 camp stove. It worked well a few times but up camping it lost pressure after having worked well making coffee but after getting back to camp after a trip out fishing its like someone messed with my stove while I was out. Could it have overheated sitting out in the sun on our table? It no longer builds up pressure when pumped. I took the part out and the plunger looked worn, but I don’t know if it is missing a part inside the tank or what. I just bought it at a thrift store a couple months back as an extra burner.
ANSWER : If you didn’t oil it it might do that. or you should check the position at witch you are holding the plunger.

Why does my coleman stove regulator leak gas from the hole on the top of the regulator
ANSWER : Its a safety feature of the regulator. The regulator is designed with a pressure release valve. This has happened to me twice: once with a carbon dioxide tank for my kegerator and once on my propane stove. In both cases I left the regulator (designed with a max pressure rating of X psi) attached to a full bottle in the sun. The heat caused the pressure to exceed the limit of the regulator and the release valve popped. A welding supply store may be able to reset/replace the mechanism but in my case I just bought a new regulator for about $15.
