Saltwater filter system on an INTEX swimming pool.
After putting fresh well water in pool, (5,060 gallons) I put in 120 lbs. of swimming pool salt. I ran the filter for 24 hours then fired up the saltwater chlorinator. After an hour the water went from totally clear to clear but now quite green. Now what? There is still about 1 hour to go on the recommended 5 hour cycle. It’s not clearing up.

ANSWER : Are the require hours properly set as required.In some cases it takes much time in clearing/cleaning the dirt from water.
Set the operating hours using the up arrow button to increase the hours of operation and the down arrow button to decrease the hours of operation. Hours of operation are determined by the amount of water in gallons for the pool size.Re-lock the keypad by pressing and holding the down arrow button for 2 seconds until a long beep is heard, then pressing and holding the up arrow button for another 2 seconds until a second long beep is heard. The green LED light will light up within minutes indicating the system is operating.
It is possible to run the system for a longer period of time than is necessary. However, because chlorine dissipates over time (which is why pool owners must constantly go to the store, constantly purchase, and continually add standard chlorine to their pools), if you happen to run your Saltwater Pool System too long, you can simply begin running it for a shorter period the next day, and your pool will be fine. The best way to determine the optimal length of time to operate your system is to experiment with different operating lengths of time, and to test the amount of chlorine in your pool using the chlorine test strips provided by Intex. See Owner’s Manual for operating time table list. If you have one available.

The Intex Saltwater Pool Systems work very quickly, and will immediately begin eliminating bacteria and algae from pool water. However, the exact amount of time needed to transform dirty, dangerous pool water to safe, clean, clear, fresh pool water will depend on a number of factors including how dirty the pool water is to start with, the size of the pool, and the temperature of the outside air.
Will the Saltwater Pool System work even if I use well water? What if I have hard water? Yes, the Saltwater Pool System will work in all water conditions. However, you may find it desirable to treat your water (just as you would if it was being used in your house), if it is hard or has high levels of calcium, etc. Calcium can form white scale on the titanium plates in the electrolytic cell, thus requiring more frequent cleaning. Other than more frequent cleaning, it will not affect the ability of your Saltwater Pool System to perform its functions.

Mar 12, 2010 – Could it be the check valve? I took it off and the flap appears to be working correctly. This well has been here a long time. Never given me any problems. I do have galvenized couplers on the discharge and intake sides. Old. Could these be leaking even though they show no sign of water? The discharge is able to hold 30 pounds easily overnight. I do not hear any vacuum in the intake when I take it off. Could the pipe to the well have a leak? I know I would have to insert a sleeve bnut I do not want to go through the hassle if I do not have to. I had put on a brand new pump from the hardware store that did the same thing so I think that would elliminate the pump as being the problem.
Mar 12, 2010 – I have a 3/4hp flotec convertible jet pump. It is able to hold 30lbs pressure on the discharge side as the primie easily for 24 hours. It is not able to pull water from the well whcih has been here for years. i disconnected it for the winter and rehooked it up. The galvanized couplers on the discharge and pump side are old but do not appear to be leakeing as I taped them well. The check valve seems to be functioning well as I took it off and the flap works correctly. The well is not pulling watrer. there does not appear to be a vacuum on the check vale when I losen it. could the check valve be bad? I am aware I might have to resleeve the well, but do not want to hassle with this if I do not have to. I want to eliminate everything else first. i put another brand new pump on it to see if it was that. That partiuclar pump which was the same thng did not work either.

ANSWER : Your well has gone dry it seems. It has happened to my before. At first the new pump I purchased that did not pump I took back for exchange and still no water. I finally gave in and called the well experts and I was told the well was dried up

I have a vintage model winchester 24 12 gauge SxS
ANSWER : I spent that past 20min or so runnin through the normal places I normally find Owners manuals for older guns with no luck.The only place i was able to find one is on ebay. Gun Broker.com is also another place they are sellin them.Here is a LINK to the ebay Auction.

ANSWER : A ordinary 2 3/4 inch 12 guage shell equates to a European 70 mm. a 3 inch Magnum is a 76 mm.

Coleman rechargable lantern Model 5327A750. Have not used it in a while have left it on charge for over 24 hours. the night light works but the main light does not go on. Replaced the bulb and still nothing. Time for the trash can. Made in china….

ANSWER : Just read the charging instructions. Charge for 16-18 hours. If stored for more than 6 months recharge for the full 16 hours. Do not leave the lantern on after the battery has stopped, has overdischarging the battery can cause problems in recharging to a full charge. If this does happen, switch lantern to off and recharge for 40 hours.YES 40 hours. Only the LED is the only light to be used while charging. If you hane the other light on hi or low the battery does not charge.Hope this helps

Intermatic Tl11-70 24-Hour Mechanical Time Switch
This was used with the manual on/off switch to control the pool filter. Today I decided to set up the timer so I pulled out the dialas directed. The trippers weren’t there so I just put the dial back in. Now the manual switch won’t turn on. Help please! and thank you.
ANSWER : With the Intermatic timers I’m familiar with, pulling out the dial but, if it pulled out and turns to lock, make sure you have it back the way it was. Obviously the time is doesn’t matter because you are using it manually. Anyway, the dial shouldn’t really effect the manual switch. If you disconnected any wires or if any came off , you will need to put them back. The system is pretty simple, just like a house switch. It sounds to me like the breaker is tripped or a wire came off.
