Experienced athletes share their insights in answering this question:
Yes, you can! and it’s awesome! As far as flushing the salt water from the engine, you’ll have to purchase an adapter for the water intake hose. This adapter has a connection for a garden hose, so when you connect the fresh water hose, turn the water on, start and run your jetski for @ 4-5 minutes. Then turn the water off and continue to run the engine (throttling up & down) to get the water out. Just like when you come out of a lake. Google for your specific model or go to a dealer. How to Identify and Resolve Common Issues ?

Flush the Engine:

Regardless of whether you ride your Jet Ski on fresh or saltwater, you should always flush your jet ski every single time. Flushing the engine is necessary because it removes any salt, sand, algae, weeds, and shells from the engine preventing damage and corrosion.

Attach a garden hose to the flush fitting; but do not start the flow of water. Start the PWC engine and let it idle, then immediately start the flow of water through the hose. Follow your owner`s manual, instructing you to idle for 90 seconds to 3 minutes. Turn off the flow of water, then shut down the engine.
First off, your Sea-Doo can go on fresh water AND salt water, so you can alternate, depending on where you live, whether it be lake, rivers or oceans.
How Long Is Too Long When Leaving Your Jet Ski In Sea Water? When it comes to leaving your jet ski in seawater, which is the most dangerous water for your jet ski, the consensus is not more than two days. You will be unpleasantly surprised how quickly corrosive seawater starts damaging your jet ski.
You can run a Sea-Doo out of the water while it`s attached to supplying water. Be careful, as unlike other manufacturers, Sea-Doo recommends that you never run the engine without supplying water. But even if it`s flushed with running water, a Sea-Doo can be run for no longer than 2 minutes out of the water!
To flush the exhaust system, hook a garden hose up to the connector located at the rear (port side of the stern) of the watercraft. DO NOT OPEN WATER TAP YET! Start the Sea-Doo engine and then immediately open the water tap. Run the engine for 90 seconds at idle and ensure water flows out of the pump while flushing.
The engine can be running or not when flushing, and flushing should be for at least three minutes. Mercury notes that this procedure should be used when flushing the engine after use in salty or dirty water, and also as a part of preparing the outboard for storage.
Supporters of this process believe that salt water cleanses can help remove nasty toxins, waste, and parasites inside the colon. It is a safe practice, but you may only want to do them once or twice a week.
Salt water can be very corrosive to watercraft, so it`s essential to take proper care of your boat or jet ski to prevent damage and keep it in good condition. If you do not take the necessary steps to protect your watercraft in saltwater, it can lead to corrosion and damage to its components.
The moving components of an outboard engine come from the factory with a dense coating of grease to keep them lubricated and running smoothly. Over time, saltwater depletes this grease coating and leaves the moving parts vulnerable to friction and damage.
Yes, you can leave a jet ski in the water overnight if it`s unavoidable. Alternatively, it`s not recommended you leave it in the water for a longer period, as it may incur different form of damage! That`s why every owner`s manual recommends you remove the jet ski from the water every day.
Run the water for about 5 to 10 minutes to flush any saltwater or sand out of the outboard. DO NOT crank the engine during the flush, let the water leave the block and the system on its own.
VERY IMPORTANT to turn on the Jet Ski before turning on the water, the jet ski is fine to run with no water for 10 seconds. With water flowing run the jet ski for 3 or so minutes allowing for the jet ski to be warmed up for a thorough flush.
After the cleanse, make sure to keep hydrated by drinking plenty of water. If you feel like the salt water flush isn`t working, try massaging your stomach and laying on your side for 30 minutes. You might also like to walk or do light yoga to stimulate bowel movements.

2005 honda foreman 400 Shifting problem
ANSWER : Hello
it seems that the control motor may be sticking to lock, and/or the angle sensor is bad or causeing this. something to check is the control motor shaft lock. on the left side of the atv there is an electric motor that is bolted to the front crankcase. take the two bolts that hold it on, off. and remove the motor. take a short screwdriver, and you should be able to turn this shaft freely either way. if you cannot nudge it a little the one way it may be stuck and see if this frees it up. if this was stuck and gets freed up. this may just be a temporary lock, but if it continues the angle sensor may need to be replaced.
if the motor shaft was not locked up then the angle sensor may still be to blame. thank you.
