I had a broken extractor housing on my Remington 870. I have the new parts (2 rivets, spring, and extractor housing), but I am not sure how to install the rivets (especially the rivet that goes throuh the spring). I downloaded the owners manual from Remington and it doesn’t help. Any suggestions?

It`s the reborn Remington 870. The new Fieldmaster is still manufactured in Ilion, New York, but now by new owners, RemArms. The guns are rolling off the line now, and I have gotten my hands on one.
No; there is a disconnect preventing it. Slam fire is very unsafe and was pretty much not a thing after the trench guns of WWI were made. A modern shotgun can be fired without slam fire just as fast as with, so manufacturers and the ATF did away with it. It isn`t a gun control thing, it is a safety thing.
It is the heart of the Model 870`s landmark dependability and durability – a receiver machined from a single block of solid steel. From this foundation of impeccable strength is a smooth-shooting, rock-solid action that would still be hailed as an advancement, even if it were introduced today.
Yes. All Remington 870 barrels are choked. Some modern barrels come with removable chokes.
But there was a catch. Because the operating company borrowed the money with a normal loan — and not with PIK notes — interest payments were required in cash. Suddenly Remington was carrying hundreds of millions of dollars in debt that, if it could not be paid, would cause the business to go bankrupt.
In 2015, the Freedom Group was renamed as Remington Outdoor Company. Remington filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in March 2018, having accumulated over $950 million in debt. Remington exited bankruptcy in May 2018, less than two months after filing for protection under Chapter 11 laws.
What is the recoil of a Remington Model 870 pump-action shotgun? The recoil isn`t bad, if your shooting normal the normal birdshot from Wal-Mart. I`ve shot 00 buckshot and it is significantly stronger. If you want to be kicked hard use a one ounce slug.
The Remington 870 has an effective range of about 40 m, and a maximum range of 50m for shot and 70-80m for slugs.
This gun was first manufactured over 70 years ago. After all this time, the Remington 870 is the most popular and widely used pump-action shotgun around due to its durability, overall quality, and value per the dollars spent to own one.
Today, 66 years after its introduction more than 11 million Model 870 shotguns have been produced.
You should never fire a shot from your shotgun without a choke tube in place. Doing so could result in serious damage to the barrel, the barrel threads, and you won`t get a uniformed pattern.
You can make the adjustments necessary to fit the gun to body armor and tactical gear. The stock also rocks two sling points on both the right and left sides of the stock. The SGA gear by Magpul will bring your Remington 870 into the modern age of shotgun furniture.
The Heilongjiang hand cannon or hand-gun is a bronze hand cannon manufactured no later than 1288 and is the world`s oldest confirmed surviving firearm. It weighs 3.55 kg (7.83 pounds) and is 34 centimeters (13.4 inches) long.
by Bryan Hendricks | September 4, 2022 at 2:03 a.m. Remington is making rifles again, and its new Model 700 might set the standard for accuracy and quality. Ron Spomer, a prominent outdoors journalist based in Idaho, offers the first detailed look at the new Model 700 on his Ron Spomer`s Outdoors page on Facebook.
As mentioned earlier, Remington guns are well worth more now than they ever have been in the past. Whether you`re a collector or a shooter, these guns are sure to hold their value for many years to come.
Many people think that the company`s downfall has more to do with management problems than issues in the firearm business. The reality is that while Remington was falling into debt, the gun maker was also hit with a lawsuit filed on behalf of some the victims of the 2012 Sandy Hook school massacre.
870 is best in terms of overall optimization and very good performance with less heating (40°-50°C).[example: iqoo 7, OnePlus 9r, etc.,] ✓And 888 is very great performance but with over heating🤯(50°-70°C) of cpu even 5nm fabrication [example: mi11series, iqoo 7 legend, OnePlus9series].
The Remington 870 is one of the most popular shotguns for duck hunting, and for good reason. This shotgun is reliable, durable, and affordable.
454 Casull or . 500 JRH generates the most recoil, and each round is powerful enough to take down bears, elk, and similar-sized prey.
An average 12-gauge shotgun load produces 40-60% more recoil than a 20-gauge shotgun if all else is equal. The recoil difference between a 12-gauge and a 20-gauge shotgun is minimal in target loads, but more pronounced in waterfowl loads.
A lot of people start on the 870 and “graduate” to other shotguns. I think I`ll still do my pump action for a long, long, long time. For someone starting into shotgun sports and upland or waterfowl hunting, a simple model 870 will work great, especially since you can put shell after shell through it.
The Remington® Model 870™ Pump-Action Shotgun is one of the most proven firearm`s designs in history. This 870 Express® is specifically made for deer hunting, featuring a 20″ fully rifled slug barrel with rifle sights. The buttstock has a Monte Carlo comb to better align the shooters eye with the rifle sights.
You can shoot slugs through modified and full chokes, you just don`t get the best accuracy. Rifled slugs are designed to shoot through choked barrels. Do not try to shoot slugs through an extra full turkey choke, as they are too tight.
The Remington Model 870 shotgun is the best-selling gun in Remington history. Introduced in 1950 to replace the Model 31, it has been produced in a vast number of variants and is still in production. Versions have been made for military and law enforcement, as well as for the traditional sporting market.

On my model 770 in 300 mag. new right out of the box, cleaned in and oiled it but the bolt action was still sticky and after firing a box and a half though it it still will not eject the spent casing and I have to turn the gun on it’s side and let it drop out on it’s own. I have even called Remington’s repair shop in Or. and they can’t guarantee it will work as he said it was nothing but a cheap rifle from Remington. I will be sending to Remington’s repair shop and if they can not repair it what rights do I have to get my money back? As I don’t feel that I should keep on having to pay for shipping all the time for there poorly made rifle.
ANSWER : I am not sure about that in your location, meaning laws depend and vary from location to location.
But with your problem I guess a simple look on the paper works or the invoices or something and trying to find the “fine prints” or statements regarding about return and exchange policies, or their warranty coverage. Should you find them and it states coverage “on your side”, well I may suggest you do have a right to claim a refund or a new stock, but if it states otherwise, and of course you have already signed the paper works, I think you may not be eligible for any refund or claim whatsoever.

It is always stated in the paper works you sign when purchasing items,(this is what happens here in my location), so its important to read them well, specially the rule “read between the lines” comes into place, specially the “fine print” or the text or sentences written in a very small, often unreadable with your eyes not squinting.

But a good talk between them and you could always results in a good compromise or agreement both beneficial for you and them.

I have a 2011 Sportsman 550 EPS Touring (2 up) with a glacier 2 plow set up. I have used it only this winter and already bent the blow frame, worn out the blade guides (the pads that keep the plow edge just off the ground) broken the winch gears (stripped) and broken the cable like 10 times. I went through two Polaris winches and then bought the Warn brand. The guys at the shop told me to go with the synthetic rope instead of the cable. That broke and got all caught up in the winch. The steel cable has broken so many times I lost count. What am I missing here? This plow set up has the support bars so close to the ground it seems problematic. Help please.
Chris
ANSWER : Your picking the blade up too high. I forget myself and have done the same thing and also broken the winch cable. You have to make a consious mental effor to not over pick the blade! The true answer is a limit switch on the winch that cuts power when the winch hits a preset height.I have searched the internet and found that such a device does NOT exist! I may build on myself, I don’t think it would be hard to do. ANYWAY THE ANSWER IS TO STOP THE WINCH BEFORE IT GETS TOO HIGH AND TRYS TO WRAP THE PLOW AROUND THE WINCH!

ANSWER : Remington 22 #BJ52 is a great riffle. 300 yard true shooting no problem. I would take no less than $250 for it and I would like to see $300use for one if I were selling it and it.
Remington 870 Model #318165x Is a nice 410 shotgun. It will effectively relocate the mid section of an intruder. A good pump action foul hunting shot gun as well. $800usd would be a top shelf price on this one.

Fishing pole replacement tip. I have a replacement kit but how do you get the broken tip off. The end of the pole is not broken and the broken tip is still firmly glued on.
ANSWER : Most fishing rods are made of graphite, and are very easily breakable. i suggest that you find a way to CAREFULLY saw or file off the tip as close to the glue as you can, preserving as much of the rod as you can. maybe a knife or serrated blade of some sort could get through the tip. i have lost ALOT of fights with BIG fish and i usually end up replacing tips… NOTE that using a new tip will reduce sensitivity in your rod but not too much

Recently, I was using my Horizon CST 4.5 treadmill when the power on the treadmill and the room it was housed in went out. I reset the cicuit breaker and tried to get back on the treadmill. It turned back on, counted down from 3, and the time began however the running surface(track) would not move. I lifted the front end where the motor and belts are housed. I noticed that the belt was still intact. Unsure if motor is burnt out. Any help would be appreciated.
ANSWER : There is usually a small breaker on treadmills that pops out and you have to push it in to reset it. Take a look around the front of the treadmill and see if you can locate the breaker and reset it and the treadmill should work normally.
