I need to know brace height and string length for a fred bear polar recurve bow. it is 64 in. long and is 31#
Experienced athletes share their insights in answering this question:
String length is 60 inches. The brace should be 7.5 to 8 inches. Listen for noise and feel for hand shock. Twist the string to add brace. Shoot for the sweet spot. When the bow becomes quiet and the vibration and hand shock is minimal, you have found the sweet spot. Measure your brace height at this point and write it down.

How to Identify and Resolve Common Issues ?

We offer a diverse range of insights on identifying and resolving common problems in sports. Our sources encompass academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays shared by seasoned athletes. :

Recommended brace heights: 63″-Between 7″ and 8″; 66″-Between 7½” and 8½”; 69″-Between 8″ and 9″. Specify right- or left-hand, length and draw weight.
The vast majority of recurve bows have a brace height somewhere between 7.5 and 9.75 inches. The brace height of your bow will dictate some of its behaviors, such as how loud it shoots and how much pivoting your arrow will experience mid-air.
Manufacturer recommended brace height: 7½” – 8½”. Replacement string length of 54″ recommended.
We recommend 7.5″ to 8.5″ on brace height.
This will usually be at least 7, 8 or even 9-inch heights for improved accuracy. Hunting bows or those used for 3D target shooting, where arrow speed is much more important, will use brace heights of 5 to 7 inches. A lot of care is taken into getting the brace heights on compound bows just right.
A large male polar bear may weigh up to 1,500 pounds and grow to nearly 10 feet tall, standing on its hind legs; however, a record male shot in 1960 in Alaska weighed 2,210 pounds and stood 12 feet tall. The petite females stand only up to about 8 feet tall and tip the scales at a svelte 550 pounds or less.
The brace height influences an archer`s power stroke (distance from the bow grip to the archer`s full draw position). The powerstroke then affects the amount of time the arrow stays in contact with the string before launching past the riser. The greater this “contact time,” the faster the bow, all else being equal.
A longer brace height puts more distance between the throat of the bow grip and the bowstring. This means that the bowstring won`t be drawn as far to reach the shooter`s draw length.
30-50lbs 3Colors Metal Riser Recurve Bow 56 inch American Hunting Bow Brace Height 6.75″-7.5″Traditional Long Bow Hunting.
Recommended brace height: A handle 7¾” – 8¾”, B handle 7″ – 8″.
The dry resting and social activity must be a minimum of 37.16 m2 (400 ft2) for up to two polar bears, with an additional 3.72 m2 (40 ft2) for each additional polar bear.

Is there a special tool or technique for removing the main bearing on the flywheel side of a horizontal shaft 80202 0594-01 74100801 Briggs and Stratton (B&S) engine? B & S bearing removal tool kits do not appear to address the situation where there is no shoulder to press the bearing out. I can mill the bushing out, but suspect there is something simpler that can be done. I also have a press and can easily install the new bushings in place (by heating the housing and cooling the bushing).
ANSWER : What do you have a bush or a bearing as they are different items
if it is a bush ,use a hacksaw blade and carefully cut a slot in the bush then use a small chisel and fold the bush inwards until it slips out
if it is a bearing you can get a bearing puller that has two arms with half balls on the ends
you drill out the cage then insert the arms in between the balls an by turning they become jammed in the race grooves allowing the bearing to be pulled from the housing and shaft

A ryobi 780r trimmer developed strong vibration. The crankshaft was spun on the bearing. Wear mark on crankshaft. I replaced short block assembly (incl head, bottom case, case bearing, piston, crank and spark plug pre-assembled), clutch drum assy, spacer and clutch cover assy. Trimmer started easily before. Now can get to cough only, cannot run. Only part I’m unsure of is spacer. I installed with groove toward flywheel. Carb and hoses were not disassembled. Can’t figure it out. Help! thanks, Will
ANSWER : Hi, reset the flywheel gap to 8 thou. Also check the flywheel is located correctly on the crankshaft as your symptoms indicate a timing problem. Hope this helps, regards Phil.
