Bear Archery is a manufacturer and marketer of bows and archery equipment located in Gainesville, Florida, owned by Escalade Sports.
To change draw length, draw stops must be adjusted before the module. Remove the draw stop on both the top and bottom cam and remount it in the corresponding stop locations to the draw length and letoff percentage you selected.
Draw length can also be easily adjusted on the cams. Simply by loosening and rotating the module to the appropriate spot, the draw length can be adjusted through a range of 26.5″ – 31″ in 1/2″ increments. These adjustments can be made quickly and easily without a bow press or the need to change modules.
Bear compound bows are well made quality bows at affordable prices. Bear is a well known and established brand with over 85 years of experience. While Bear is not always on the cutting edge of technology they have tried and true methods that have proven effective and reliable over decades.
Adjustable cams allow the archer to adjust his or her draw length with the use of an hexagonal wrench without, in most cases, pressing the compound bow. Adjustable compound bow cams allow archers to adjust anywhere from 3 inches up to 13 inches depending on the compound bow.
To determine your proper draw length, stand upright, spread your arms out to the side and have someone measure your wingspan between the fingertips of your middle fingers. Then, divide that measurement by 2.5. In archery, consistency is the key to accuracy.
To measure your draw length, stand with your back to a wall stretching your arms out against the wall. Measure the distance from the end of your middle finger to the end of your other middle finger, basically the length of both arms, hands and chest. This measurement, minus 15 then divided by 2, is your draw length.
To maintain the value of a good violin bow and keep it in optimum playing condition, it is very important never to tighten the bow hair too much and to always loosen the bow hair after each playing session.
If you don`t release the tension on the bow after each performance or practice, the stress can eventually warp it, or even break off the head of the bow!
The average height shooter (5`10”) will most likely have a 28” draw length.
If the bow arm drops or swings to the side, the draw length is probably too long. When this happens, the scapula has already pushed the bow arm out as far as it can extend before the arrow is released. No room is left for the bow arm to go forward, so it drops or swings to the side.
The new KillerWave in-limb dampeners assist in eliminating vibration and improving accuracy in each shot. The 2022 ALASKAN offers respectable arrow speeds up to 335 FPS and an incredible amount of adjustability in draw length from 25.5“-31“.
Bows from Europe and Asia were much more accurate, especially over great distances compared to early firearms. They could also, generally, be fired at a much faster rate than early firearms that took a long time to reload.
Ideally, bows used for hunting deer should have a draw weight of at least 40lbs, at a peak draw of 28 inches. In Olympic archery, competitors use recurve bows with a mechanical sight that draw an average of around 48.5 pounds for the men and 33 pounds for the women.
Immortalized by the Mongols during the 3rd-century onwards, the Mongolian recurve bow is widely considered one of the most powerful, and deadly, bows in history.
Where is Bear Archery `s headquarters? Bear Archery is located in Evansville, Indiana, United States .
In the 1950`s and early 60`s, the serial numbers were started over every month every model. This makes these years very difficult to identify by serial numbers. From 1965 to 1969 the first single digit is the year of the bow (Example: 8Z1254 = 1968) The “K” serial numbers started in 1970 KZ, KU, KT, etc.
Three of the most important factors that directly affect arrow speed is draw weight, draw length, and the weight of your arrows. At a glance – if you increase draw length, increase draw weight, and/or use lighter arrows, you`ll experience an increase in arrow speed.
For every inch you reduce your draw length, you will lose roughly 10 fps of arrow speed. On average, this is close.
The fastest bow ever made…the 370 fps PSE Full Throttle. Show us your bow.
Elite`s new-for-2023 Omnia is powered by the new SP Cam system and is advertised to produce IBO arrow speeds up to 347 fps in tandem with the ability to customize draw length, letoff and the feel of the back wall — all without a bow press.
Calculate your approximate draw length

Measure the distance to get your wingspan in CM or INCH. If you measured in CM you need to convert this to INCH by dividing the length in cm by 2.54. The formula is: Draw Length = (Wingspan in INCH – 15) / 2.

Draw length is important no matter what kind of bow you shoot. It determines the length and size of your arrows and the size of your bow. Also, it is especially important for compound shooters because compound bows have set draw lengths.
Take one measurement from the occipital bone in the back of the skull to the furthest point in the front, which is usually the teeth. The second measurement is between the zygomatic arches (cheekbones). Adding these measurements together gets you the score to see how your bear sizes up.

I have an 8100 ES Reebok treadmill. There is a squeaking noise coming from the drive motor. It is coming from the non-belt side (if facing the front of the treadmill, the left of the drive motor. When the treadmill is turned off, I can manually move the walking belt in the walking / running direction and it will squeak. If I move it in the opposite direction, manually it does not squeak. Also, if I need to lubricate the bearings can you tell me how to get to them to do this. The motor has plenty of power and no other problems, only squeaking. I have sprayed a belt lubricant on the belt and also blown it all out with a can of compressed air (used for computer key boards).
ANSWER : Hi.the bearings in these machines should be lubricated and sealed for life. they are not designed to be touched. it sounds like you have done the important bits. belt lubrication and blowing out any debris that may be there. squeaks like this can be incredibly difficult to find, but can also be incredibly annoying.the main things that you can do is keep watching to try and find exactly where the squeak is coming from and check for anything wrapped around the edge of the roller.keep using the belt spray, and the compessed air.a good grade silicone lubricating spray used at the edges of the rollers, by the bearings and around the motor and gearbox unit may also help but do not get this spray on the belt as it can be very slippery.squeaks like this can start and stop on their own or develop slowly and go just as slowly.keep doing the maintenance you are doing, and use the silicone spray as described above.it may take a little while for the spray to work its way into the bearings as they are fairly well sealed but you should notice an improvement after a few days.please feel free to ask for further advice if you need

Bear polar recurve brace height
ANSWER : String length is 60 inches. The brace should be 7.5 to 8 inches. Listen for noise and feel for hand shock. Twist the string to add brace. Shoot for the sweet spot. When the bow becomes quiet and the vibration and hand shock is minimal, you have found the sweet spot. Measure your brace height at this point and write it down.

Is there a special tool or technique for removing the main bearing on the flywheel side of a horizontal shaft 80202 0594-01 74100801 Briggs and Stratton (B&S) engine? B & S bearing removal tool kits do not appear to address the situation where there is no shoulder to press the bearing out. I can mill the bushing out, but suspect there is something simpler that can be done. I also have a press and can easily install the new bushings in place (by heating the housing and cooling the bushing).
ANSWER : What do you have a bush or a bearing as they are different items
if it is a bush ,use a hacksaw blade and carefully cut a slot in the bush then use a small chisel and fold the bush inwards until it slips out
if it is a bearing you can get a bearing puller that has two arms with half balls on the ends
you drill out the cage then insert the arms in between the balls an by turning they become jammed in the race grooves allowing the bearing to be pulled from the housing and shaft
