LX 188. Engine suddenly dies. The fluel in the bowel of the fuel filter is empty. If I crank the engine the filter becomes dry and is collapsing some but the engine does not start. When I remove the supply line from the fuel pump to the carberator and crank the enginge there is a strong stream of gas being pumped out. I tap on the carberator ??? is the float is hung not allowing fuel to enter. Cranking the engine with the line off refills the bowel of the gas filter. Reattache line to the carberator===engine starts. Ran perfect for 20minutes then suddenly died. Repeated all the above and engine again started. What to do to fix this? Thanks

Hard to crank up
ANSWER : May sound a bit tacky but all pop ups are a bit tedious to crank up. In the event this IS NOT your first time to own or operate a pup. I apologize and suggest you post your problem on the pop up times and or the pux webpages. Both are reliable sources for people who have pop up up or small campers.

One year old weedeater, hard to crank, when i do get it running it will only idle. When you give it gas it will bog down and die?? tried to clean carb, Put sea foam in and let sit for a while. cranked up and still did same thig??
ANSWER : Hi,

Pull the spark plug wire and push in a Phillips screw driver in the hole in the wire. Hold about 1/8″ from the metal of the engine. Pull the rope quickly and watch for a spark. If you see a spark you most likely have a carb problem not an electrical problem. Or Remove the Spark Plug. Wrap a Wire Around the Threaded Area of the Plug and the Other End of the Wire is Attached to the Engine Block. Unplug the Shut Off Wire from the Coil. Is there Spark? If No, the Coil/Ignition Module May be Bad.If you saw a spark then checks your spark plug to be clean and not gunked up. If clean then pour about a thimble full of fresh mixed gas in the cylinder through the spark plug hole. Then install the spark plug and wire. Try to start the engine with the throttle pulled high speed. May take a bunch of pulls maybe 20 or so. If the engine starts and runs for a few seconds your carb is plugged up and needs cleaned.
