How to Identify and Resolve Common Issues ?

Make sure that the magazine catch is in place so that the magazine can rotate around it. Check the pellets that you loaded and make sure they are not too long for the magazine. Pellets that are too long and/or protrude when seated will contact the receiver and cause jams. Check your breech seal.
Both the 2100 and 2200 allow up to 10 pumps per shot, so that`s how I`ll test the gun for velocity.
Although it is beneficial, the effect is not that great. Many people lubricate pellets in an effort to reduce friction in the barrel, thinking this will gain them a few more fps of muzzle velocity. No gain in fps was apparent, however, when I tested a small range of lubricants.
Dry firing PCP or CO2 air rifles will usually be completely safe, as there isn`t a piston to worry about. You`re simply releasing a short spurt of air/CO2 to force the pellet up the barrel.

Airgun manufacturers will typically impose a one to 10 time pumping maximum on their multi-pump airguns based on standard day conditions and maximum valve pressure. The pump limit is meant to preserve seals, reduce wear and tear and prevent valve lock.
Air rifles don`t have residues caused by burning powder like rifles do. That means the barrels don`t foul up or require cleaning. If you want to run something through the barrel, use a good quality bore-cleaning rope. Clean and lubricate the external metal parts to avoid corrosion.
Never put a loaded air weapon down. Always safely discharge or unload and uncock it first. Cover air weapons when you transport them, e.g. in a gun slip. Never store a loaded air weapon.
Technological refinements have increased the muzzle velocity and hence the penetrating power of these weapons. In a review of experimental studies, DiMaio concluded that the critical velocity for penetration of human skin by an air gun pellet was between 38 and 70 m/sec (125–230 ft/sec).
In some cases, like with semi automatic handguns or revolvers, if there is no bullet for a firing pin to strike, it will strike the hard steel chamber and cause damage. However, in most cases, dry firing is completely safe for your gun.
A . 177 air rifle is likely to shoot around 60 to 80 yards. However, the range may be affected by various factors, such as the brand of pellet and your shooting stance.

Pellet guns come in both rifle and pistol varieties — with rifles typically providing the most accuracy and power. Additionally, pellet guns are generally considered to be more accurate in a pellet gun vs BB gun scenario due to their rifled barrels and aerodynamic pellet shapes.
Pellet and BB guns are high powered and can easily injure or kill a child. They should be used only under adult supervision. The Consumer Products Safety Commission recommends only kids 16 years of age or older use BB guns.
The barrel-breaking gun can reach a power of up to 8/10 joules, while the CO2-powered gun can only release a power of up to 4 joules.
At close range, projectiles from many BB and pellet guns, especially those with velocities greater than 350 fps, can cause tissue damage similar to that inflicted by powder-charged bullets fired from low-velocity conventional firearms.
What happens with airgun CO2 when the temperatures dip down below 65 degrees Fahrenheit is that it freezes the air gun valve much faster than it would otherwise. A frozen valve means no control on what is going through it. In much simpler terms, the BB gun stops working. That`s really about all there is to it.
HOW LONG DOES THE CO2 CARTRIDGE LAST? Once penetrated on the first trigger pull, the CO2 cartridge will last 24 hours or 21 shots.
After every cleaning, your gun with solvents, you should oil your gun. Again, you only need a very thin layer of oil. Always follow up any lubrication by running a dry patch through the barrel twice. If your firearm has been in long-term storage, be sure to wipe it out again before you fire that first shot.
Consistency is key when it comes to airguns and how you hold and shoot them. Most shooters find a limit of around 20-30 yards for hunting consistently, however, some accurately hunt beyond 50 yards with “springers”.

The valves of air and CO2 guns need a small amount of lubricant. Crosman Pellgun Oil® is the proper lubricant for the job. A drop of Pellgun Oil on the end of a CO2 cylinder is sufficient to lubricate the seals that engage the neck of the cylinder.

I have a York Stellar model mid efficiency furnace Model # P?UCD12N07601A, Serial # EXAM3600524 installed in 1992. The HSI was replaced approximately 3 months ago. Over the last two weeks the ventor motor comes on, the HSI lights but does not ignite the gas. The ventor motor runns continously and the HSI continues to turn off and on without gas ignition. Some times by turning the ventor motor off and on (by opening and closing the bottom furnace faces panel door) will give be ignition after the HSI goes through 1-4 cycles. If I can’t get it to work I call my furnace repair guy. The serviceman thought it was the pressure switch and ordered one. Just this last weekend I had no heat and another service guy came in replaced the HSI again and adjusted the pressure switch and said this fix should work. Less than a day later furnace still experiencing the same problem-Ventor motor comes on, HSI comes on but no gas ignition. ventor motor runs continuously and the temperature in the house drops! I’m frustrated and the servicemen don’t seem to know how to fix the problem for good.
ANSWER : Make sure the vent pipes that exhaust the fumes are not blocked in any way and also check the drain line to be sure it is not kinked from the vent motor to the trap. Take the hoses off the vent motor and the pressure switch and make sure all the hoses are clean and free from debris also check the trap on the drain hose and make sure it has water in it if it doesn’t this will creat a negative pressure in the vent motor housing not allowing the vent pressure switch to make.

This is the izh 513m .177 rifle. It’s brand new. I am not sure as of what to do and the hammer want budge and the trigger won’t pull. The barrel has no tension and it won’t go up like its supposed to.
ANSWER : This could be a factory safety that the hammer and trigger do not move while in the cocked position. The barrel may be locking down purposely. Look near the spring or in the path of the barrel where it folds back up and look for a release button. What do you see?

I have a Kohler Condidant 5 Generator that will run as long as you hold the start button in. It dies when you let off. I have a harness for the remote switch but no switch – It also will start the generator when you cross the red and black wire and run as long as you hold them together. There are 3 wires to the main switch and 5 to the remote switch. Does the starter stay engaged the whole time you hold the start switch or does the computer release the starter once it is running? The Generator is producing electricity because I tested it while holding the start button. Some where is a wire that shold tell it to keep running. I have read online many descriptions of the same problem, most are told the board is bad so they replace it and still have the problem. Have not found a solution. Talked to a marine machanic today and he said he fixed his friends generator doing the same thing by running a bypass wire but he couldnt remember exactly what he did it was a long time ago. Can anyone help me. Thank you
ANSWER : The problem is either the ballast resistor or the starter bypass relay. The bypass relay should be part of the starter solenoid. I’m afraid I can’t tell you exactly where the ballast resistor is located. It should be a physically fairly large resistor made of ceramic. It should be retangular roughly 1.5″-3″ long and 3/8″-1/2″ accross with a wire on each end. It could also be a coil of wire mounted on a phenolic board.

Removing a slider door to patio
ANSWER : Open the slider 7/8 of the way open and lift the slider up and out of the track. you may have to get a helper as the slider is heavy. there might be little plastic clips in the top track of the door that need to be removed before lifting the slider out.

The difference in the old firing pin and the new one is as follows. The old replaced
style, was totally lathe tuned (round). While the new recall style is similar in lathe
turning on the front and back, but in the front midsection it has two flats milled, one
on each side. This makes the center section stronger. Also replaced is the bolt sleeve
lock pin (firing pin guide) which was made to accommodate this different shaped firing
pin
Part number for the new parts are, firing pin =1391ND, bolt sleeve locking pin =1491ND
The word was at the time this recall was in process was that if the firing pin would
break at the mid section and still remain in the gun as two pieces, the possibility of a
premature discharge before the bolt was locked was possible. This apparently was caused
by the firing pin tip (now not having a retracting spring) to be stuck forward, and
thereby slam-firing upon chambering.
The responsibility for the recall apparently was on Olin, as they were the parent company
at time of manufacture. Olin set up regional recall centers at three established US
gunshops. There was a manufacturing delay in the replacement firing pins, and a backlog
occurred, also some collectors did not like the idea of shipping their guns long
distances. Olin then also authorized other gunshops to make the required alterations.
Upon completion of the recall, the shops were to test fire the firearm and to stamp an
assigned letter on the inside top of the receiver as seen thru the magazine well with the
bolt retracted. The letter “B” represented Bolsa Gunsmithing, “L” was Lefever, and “N”
was for Nu-line Guns. The letter “X” apparently was for all the other independent shops.
However this identification information did not get communicated to some of the smaller
shops at the start of the project. The only way to tell if the gun as been modified, if
the ”letter” is not present, is to take the barrel & action out of the stock, remove the
trigger guard assembly and the try to rotate the firing pin by twisting it. If it does
NOT rotate, then the firing pin recall HAS been performed.
