How to Identify and Resolve Common Issues ?

We offer a diverse range of insights on identifying and resolving common problems in sports. Our sources encompass academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays shared by seasoned athletes. :

My kayak arrived with the supplied footpump and a pressure guage, as it`s important not to over inflate above 1.5 bar.
The pressure relief valves are triggered at 18 PSI, ensuring the chambers are not overinflated. While the optimum inflation pressure is 10-12 PSI, paddlers may find performance acceptable at 6 PSI. Please note: while there are two pressure relief valves, it is not a good idea to leave the kayak sitting in the hot sun.
Stability and capacity are the greatest design attributes of the Sevylor Colorado. This recreational boat feels rock solid and has a maximum capacity of nearly 450 pounds—perfect for two beginner or occasional paddlers, as well as solo kayak anglers with lots of gear.
The recommended operating pressure by the manufacturer is 3.4 pounds per square inch (p.s.i) or 240 millibar pressure (mb).
AIR PRESSURE

Over inflating your kayak will damage the seams. Most inflatable kayaks can be inflated anywhere from 2.5 – 3.5 PSI. Although there are some that can hold a lot more and a few that have high pressure floors (such as the Sea Eagle kayaks) that hold up to 10 PSI of air pressure.

Inflatable kayaks with a full drop stitch construction have both the floor and the side chambers made of drop stitch material. They are also called full drop stitch or high pressure kayaks. They are significantly less stable than inflatable kayaks with I-Beam or drop-stitch floor only, due to the thin sidewalls.
The easiest way to tell if your kayak is fully inflated is to pick it up from either end. If the kayak folds, bends, or tacos in the middle, then it is under inflated and needs more air. The two main chambers should be good and firm so when you pick it up from either end it should be stiff and not fold.
The road from Sevylor`s founding in 1948 as the dominant supplier of a wide range of PVC inflatables from river running kayaks to brightly colored beach balls is still going strong today, with unique designs, original inventions and imagination.
The Sevylor Madison boasts similar specs to the Sevylor Colorado. The difference is in the outfitting, with the Madison featuring Sevylor`s clever Seatography system, which allows you to tweak the position of the seats in the kayak to adjust for different paddler weights—perfect if you plan to paddle with a youngster.
For example, a typical recreational kayak has a weight limit of 250 to 300 pounds. A touring or sea kayak has a weight limit of 350 pounds while a sit-on-top kayak has a maximum weight capacity rating of 350-400 pounds. Tandem kayaks tend to have the highest weight limit of 500-600 pounds.
Weight Capacity

These numbers vary; however, for the best inflatable kayaks for two people you`re typically looking at a weight limit of at least 400 pounds – and up to 900 or more in some models.

On average, single kayaks weigh in anywhere between 15 and 30 kilos, depending on the materials used and accessories included.
60 PSI is fine for normal boat systems in decent condition.
There are a wide range of products that are made to either reinforce or repair inflatable vessels including marine glue, paint, and tape. Each of these products creates a protective layer that will reduce the chances of a sharp object penetrating the boat`s materials.
Should It Be Inflated or Deflated? Maybe the most common confusion about wintertime storage of RIB boats is whether to leave them inflated or deflated. It`s best to keep your inflatable inflated, if possible, though there are ways to properly store your boat deflated.
Inflatables lose air mainly due to: – the design, quality of materials and construction process specially the welding or seamimg can not ensure 100% airtightness in all possible operational conditions. -ambient daily and seasonal temperature variation result in fibres to expand and loose air.
Bottom line: 6-12 years is a pretty typical range for the life span of a kayak. That`s a huge range, you might say. And yes, that is true. An inflatable kayak might last you only a half dozen years; however, a well-maintained, quality kayak can last twice that or much longer – even a lifetime.
Designs are similar to hard shell kayaks, from bow and stern to the seat and paddle, with the obvious difference of being inflatable. Modern inflatable kayaks perform just as well as their hard shell counterparts. With an inflatable kayak, you can get on the water without the hassle of boat storage or roof racks.
Most inflatable canoes will have a seat in the front as well as the back. Others have benches for sitting. It is very common to also paddle a canoe by kneeling in the bow or stern.
As temperatures drop and snow falls, this is a good time of year to give your inflatable kayak or paddleboard a little extra love and attention. Although inflatables are incredibly durable, a little extra elbow grease and maintenance will ensure peak performance for the lifetime of your vessel.
Requirements: ➢ Equipment – All inflatable kayaks & tube rentals come with a helmet and personal Flotation Device (PFD) that must be worn while using our equipment. Closed toed shoes are also strongly encouraged.
Two of the most common causes of kayak instability are: You could be using the wrong shape or type of kayak for the activity you`re participating in, or. You might have weight unevenly distributed within your kayak.
Air expands when it is warm and compresses when it is cold. What will happen is you will be paddling an underinflated kayak. You need to leave it in the water for a bit to see how much the air compresses, fill it up completely, then go.

I HAVE A YORK STELLAR PLUS,MODEL PEUDD12N09501C 15 YEARS OLD. THE AIR INDUCTION MOTOR RUNS FOREVER. THE AIR INDUCTION MOTOR COMES ON , THE THE THERMOSTAT CALLS FOR GAS, THE IGNITOR LIGHTS THE GAS, FURNACE HEATS UP AND THEN THE LIMITER SHUTS OFF THE GAS BEFORE THE BLOWER COMES ON AND THEN THE AIR INDUCTION MOTOR RUNS, AND RUNS TILL THE DUCT WORK IS VIBRATING. THEN OTHER TIME THE FURNACE WORKS RIGHT THROUGH THE HEAT CYCLE JUST LIKE IT WAS DESIGNED TO.
ANSWER : This flame is not likely going off on a high limit due to clogged filters as suggested previously because the unit goes off on safety before the blower comes on. If it works sometimes and not others it is most likely a flame sense issue or an electronic problem. If the boards logic tells the inducer to keep running if it thinks the flame is lost this may be your clue. You can attempt to find the red LED trouble light on the circuit board(or in burner compartment) and this may tell you exactly what the problem is but you may need to tape the door interlock switch so you don’t loose the code when you open the blower compartment. You can clean flame sensor with very fine sandpaper or steel wool but replacement is usually the best.

Air hose problems
ANSWER : You’ve either stretched the hose at the end, it has a tear, or it burst earlier. If you have any spare length you can trim the end and reattach it.Likely though it’s just barely long enough so you just need to pick up another one from your local paintball store or airsmith and pop that ****** on and you’re back in business!Good luck!

Play hard, play safe, play with honor!

My gun just beeps when i pull the trigger even when hooked up to hpa.battery is new.last time i used the gun just before it messed up i had it hooked to o2 and it would fire then beep ,i have a anti syphon tube installed to. the air shot out the asa instead of the reg when i took off the tank.usually gun holds air with tank off then you shoot it to get rid of stored air, this time it shot out the asa????
ANSWER : You have probably messed up your solenoid, did you fire the marker straight up with the o2? I would make sure that all of the board settings are back to factory default especially the dwell and reattempt with compressed air. If the marker is still not firing get your hands on a new solenoid for it.

I have lost all pressure in my coleman 502 camp stove. It worked well a few times but up camping it lost pressure after having worked well making coffee but after getting back to camp after a trip out fishing its like someone messed with my stove while I was out. Could it have overheated sitting out in the sun on our table? It no longer builds up pressure when pumped. I took the part out and the plunger looked worn, but I don’t know if it is missing a part inside the tank or what. I just bought it at a thrift store a couple months back as an extra burner.
ANSWER : If you didn’t oil it it might do that. or you should check the position at witch you are holding the plunger.
the instructions say that the plunger turns left and right but mine doesn’t do that
DON’T FORGET TO COVER THE HOLE IN THE PLUNGER THOUGH
IT TOOK ME A WHILE TO FIGURE THAT OUT THE FIRST TIME

I have a Scuba Pro X650a regulator. After having the unit serviced this winter I used it last month for the first time in St. Croix.

The first day of diving went fine. However, as the week progressed I noticed that when taking in a breath the regulator continued to trickle air at a very small rate. While not enough to be concerned about safety at this point it has become an annoyance both from the fact that bubbles continue to trickle past my ears and air usage has increased. This is an intermittent problem.

I had it looked at by 2 certified Scuba Pro Dive shops and they could not find anything wrong with it though one did lower the first stage pressure just to a bit to see if that would work. I also cycled the control lever position for “dive” and “surface” intervals to ensure that there were no sticking problems.

It does appear that the problem is intermittent and that it only occurs when the regulator is under water.

In addition is there a diagram in which I can use to troubleshoot this problem?

NOTE: this version of the X650 was not on the recall list of Scuba Pro.

Any help would be appreciated.

Stephen

ANSWER : Strangely enough I had the exact same problem with mine.. I’m in the caribbean I love diving and spear gun fishing.. I had one of these a year ago with the same issue I actually wound up increasing the pressure to get it to work.. It wasnt muc use cause my air ran out at a faster rate. Was never able to fix ,, A buddy of mine had the same issue ,, wound up replacing the swivle vale and this helped for a week and then back to the same old .. I then changed to the Aqualung Mikron Regulator had no issues and it works great .. Quite frankly I think we had bad ones here but I’m not sure where you got yours. If you wish you can replace the swivle valve (most likely cause) but I’ll just change the unit and get another..
