Regulation size shuffleboard tables (also known as tournament tables) are 22 feet long by 20 inches wide. The cradle, which is the narrow area surrounding the playing surface, adds inches to these dimensions, so the actual size is around 23 feet long and 31 inches wide.

If you have limited space the best options to consider are 9` and 12` shuffleboard tables. These tables are perfect for tight spaces in homes or apartments. They also work well for bars or venues that want to add multiple tables into a single space.
Casual or Tournament Play
In order to play in a tournament, your table must be the regulation size of 22` long and 20” wide Tournament weights are 2 5/16” in diameter and must weigh about 12 oz. If you are not planning to host official tournaments, you have more leeway with shuffleboard size and your weight choice.
Good types of wood include mahogany, oak, and maple. Always go with hardwoods whenever possible. MDF may look nice and cost less but hardwood is the best when you want to build a quality table.
Shuffleboard Material
The very best wood to use for the shuffleboard surface is North American maple, a wood that only grows on the North American continent. This wood has withstood the test of time.

This shuffleboard has the official playing length of 2 meters, height of 4.5 cm and has the width is 41 cm which is the same as the boards used annually in the shuffleboard world championships in Holland.
Not all pucks are created equal, though—there are two different sizes. Medium ones measure in at 2 1/8 inches and work best on 9`, 12`, and 14` shuffleboard tables. Large pucks, on the other hand, measure in at 2 5/16 inches, making them ideal for 16`, 18`, 20`, and 22` shuffleboard tables.

ANSWER : The bolt you have acquired is either from a different model, or has been modified. With fire arms you are getting into dangerous territory, but I do suggest you have it looked at by a gunsmith. He will tell you what the problem is and you then make a decision based on that information.
